Difficult terrain (woods, mountains)

Fuel consumption ? How is the balance of that compared to wheeled
transport
? Especially for heavy cargo ?

Also, roads come in many different grades. In an early colony, many will
be
little more than cleared routes. 8-lane superhighways come later.
