Model sources include:

Task Force Games Star Fleet Battles miniatures
(old and new)
FASA miniatures
Some FASA scratchbuilts I've bought recently
Galoob Micromachines
Rawcliffe Pewter "preassembled" ships

Basically, anywhere I can get a new federation
ship and I can afford it, I buy it. Of course
I tend to buy ships I can use in my wargaming
as opposed to the bigger versions used for display.
Some are so old the paint is yellowing. I might have
to repaint some of them, but I'm reluctant because
I can't find the rub off lettering anymore for the
numbers on the dishes.

Scale is always a problem. The micromachines have
no consistent scale. The FASA miniatures and
the Task Force Games miniatures are usually
reasonably close to each other in scale because
both used the same size constitution class starship.

For the rest, it's anyone's guess. I really wish
galoob would have exercised some effort to keep the
scale closer. I'd love to have a defiant the right
size.
