Ouch, true words.

Besides, there is a place for people who belong to the Society of Daisy.

And it right next to the war gamer who is too serious.

A reference to her developing "teenager-itis" (fortunately only at
intervals basically she's a loving child) about three years ago before
she entered double digits chronologically. My observation is that Girls
of Indian (India Indian, not Native American although that may be true
too) descent seem to 'mature' earlier and develop 'monthly emotions'
ahead of many of their American contemporaries. So you get the
'benefits' of that for a longer period of their childhood. Some of her
contemporaries who act as their chronological ages implies drive her
crazy since in certain areas she has had to handle things her friends
don't (like starvation in her infant years, insensitive girls in her
school class who didn't understand why she had to deal with certain
aspects of being 'prematurely maturing' that they were not experiencing,
people's responses to our multi-racial, multi-ethnic family) yet some
ways she is a typical American 12 year old girl (the music, the disgust
with boys, the growing mixed feelings about 'parents') so you never know
which 'personality to expect.

G'day guys,

We've fallen into the habit of saying all weapons one a single vehicle
can
fire at the same target (unless you're oversized and have multiple fire
controls) and there doesn't seem to have been any problems. The guy here

who's getting bummed with DS is suffering from a "everytime I pull out
chits I get a Firing system down chit" problem.

Which brings something else to mind. If the GMS are fire and forget is
there any reason why a "Firers systems down" chit wouldn't just effect
that
missile? With the number of GMS zipping about on the table down here
lately
we've been thinking about switching to that idea and were wondering if
anyone else had tried something similar.

We've also been wondering about buying grades of backup systems, we
haven't
figured out the fine details yet, but basically along the lines that if
you
buy grade 1 you get a D4, grade 2 a D6 etc. Then you number your systems
1
through however many you need (say 1 = FC, 2 = ECM, 3 = PDS etc), when
you
get a Systems down chit you roll the dice, the number you roll is the
only
system that goes down, if you don't roll a number that matches a system
then the lights flickered momentarily but it came back to life in a
flash
when you walloped the side of the monitor. Not sure how it'll work, its
just a thought at that present moment.

Cheers

Beth

Hmmm...entirely possible, I just threw them together because they
looked similar. 5 and 10 for sure don't appear on the Product
Guide on Stuff of Legends.

My own house rule applies the firer system down and target system down
results only if they are the first chit to be drawn. Otherwise, larger
caliber weapons and systems, such as a MDC/4 or DFFG/5, will be twice
as unreliable as a RFAC/2 or MDC/2.

GMS/P
=================

Someone wrote some GMS/P rules for DS2 and I haven't seen them in my
searches through the web pages.

I assume it would use a guidance die reflecting its firecontrol (basic,
enh,
superior) and it would have a max range of ??? (guess at 1200-2000m but
what
is the max-range for Javelin or other GMS/P of today?). I assume it
would
draw the same type of chit validity as GMS/L and GMS/H, but probably
only 1
of them.

And I have no clue what a system like this should cost in the hands of a
two
man team. Less than a farther ranged, harder hitting GMS/L for sure.
Oerjan
the number-wise? Other math crunchies?

LPG
================
Any ideas on handling weapons like the 76mm and 90mm Low Pressure Guns
or
the 165mm demolition gun? I was trying to design a cougar and a scorpion
and
just didn't have the right weapon to mount.... someone must have thought
about this (or have thoughts). Oerjan? Others?

Tom.
