given that the counters are square, they already have 90 degree angles
on
them! place on in front of the figure, with a diagonal axis pointing in
the direction he's overwatching. the arc of fire is then described by
the
edges of the counter:

mind you, i'm not that taken by the idea of the counters anyway - a tad
too vulnerable to tabletop entropy, i feel.
