I have two ideas that I've been kind of working on. One I've
mentioned in passing before and one I haven't.

The first is the simple idea that Taiwan may still be independent.

The second is an idea for a _real_ (yeah, sure) socialist republic
who split off from the ESU over ideological resaons. I see them as
being based on an inner-colony world which they share with colonies
founded by a few of the medium/small powers. They also have a couple
of colony worlds.

One of these days I may develop these ideas further. I'll let the
list know when I do.
