Well, dunno about rain coat, I guess that's a necessity in the Frigid 
North (down here we like rain 'coz it cools you off).  And I hear you 
on the fresh socks.  We kinda like to ditch any large metallic objects 
if possible when going into minefields, but not the whole LBE. . .
