I took the gamble and paid my $2.99 plus tax to Kay Bee before Chirstmas
on this
Spelljammer box.  I then spent an evening reading over it.  It has sat
ever 
since.	The cardboard 3D counters are nicely done and are as you think
but the 
ships and combat did not appeal to me.	A lot of emphasis on boarding
actions if
I remember.  I'll look over it again sometime but I don't think I'll
every use 
much if anything from it (there must be a reason TSR has a lot left and
they are
cheap).  $3 is not much to gamble, less than most micromachines.  You
may find 
something in it you like.
