That campaign was 23 years ago, so I may be mis-remembering the cycle
time -- might have been 2ce a second.

Apparently Scott wrote, in a post that I received as blank:

"Would kill them" is the effect we were looking for.  If UNBOSS agents
had ever made it onto the ship, keeping the decks and overheads intact
would have been a very low priority.
