A combination of UK conventions and general-SF (ie. not GZG-specific) 
discussion boards, polls etc. on the 'net over the past couple of years
or 
so - starting well before GeoHex stopped handling the GZG US market. 
Unfortunately the use of handles other than your real name often makes
it 
difficult to tell exactly who a person is on the 'net :-(

No. As far as I know Starfire and Full Thrust don't compete with each
other 
- while both are space combat games the former is a rather 
background-specific campaign game while the other is a generic tactical 
game, so they fill quite different niches.
