DS 2: Diversifying terms

Subject: DS 2: Diversifying terms

I am looking at switching some of the tracked vehicles I am currently
using (GZG packs of 3 - DF-T05 and DF-T06 - from the PHR (units of 5
vehicles per platoon and lots of figures - 80 and 60 is a Battalion) to
RRR (Units of 3 vehicles per platoon.)

Currently the RRR uses (Brigade) GEV's but given the fair amount of
light
woods in their part of the globe it might be handy to have some tracked
companies available for independent operations. I envision them as a
Russian version of the RCMP plus Border Guards roles crossed with
"Mechanized Rangers" (Lots of dismounted action.)

I need a word to describe this unit, English or (pronounceable for this
Hispanic American <grin> please!) Russian that	would annotate them as
different from	"line regulars" that the GEV combat force is.

Also, The line forces us HMT/HKP tech.	Would it make sense to:

1) Drop down to HVC/RFAC? Tech (sub option - switch to CFE power.)

2) Accept the drop in one size of weapon for MDC (??) that HMT power
requires - i.e., a size 5 AFV uses size 4 or less MDCs...)

3) Change to DFFG tech because of the short ranges more common in their
engagement ranges? (sub option switch to CFE power.)

4) Stick to HMT/HKP tech.

I consider GHSs, HELs and SLAMs unlikely choices but let's hear your
ideas/feedback, please.

Gracias,
Glenn
