The Russians/Soviets/etc had paramilitary Border Guards units -
presumably still do, in some form. Borrow their unit name and you'd have
a
pretty good fit, I'd say.

"Mechanized Rangers" sounds accurate for what you want, but it's a bit
of
an odd mix.
