Cloaks and wave guns (FT)

For a change I have started playing with Cloaking devices
and wave guns in FT.

The rules for the wave gun don't say anything about not
being able to cloak and charge up the gun at the same time.

So we have had a few experiments in say cloaking a ship for
4 turns.
On the turn the ship comes out of cloak, the player
rolls 4 turns worth of wave gun charging. If they get the 6
points! then they fire the turn coming out of cloak.
The following turn they cloak again.

It sounds nasty but before we really get into it are there
any horror stories of people trying something similar?
