Well in virtually all our games we only use Elites or Untrained in
specific scenarios. THe rest of the time we use a d6 die roll:

Qual - 1: Green, 2,3,4: Regular, 5,6: Veteran (vary the Green to perhaps
roll on 1,2 na dVeteran on only 6)

Leadership, 1,2: L1 3,4: L2 5,6: L3

Works for us.
