I personally think that is the best way to purchase a fleet (or any
other
gaming minis).	If you don't like a particular mini, then it will make
your
fleet look bad in your own mind as well as the fact that you probably
won't
do as good a job painting as you don't like it in the first place.  My
fleet
looks really rag-tag because of all the different ship designs from FSE,
NAC, ESU, NSL, B5 & Star Wars Micro Machines and converted Epic Minis,
but
you tie them together with a common paint scheme and there you have it. 
I
like the rag-tag look of my fleet as I gives it character and a feel of
being a mercenary fleet.  Either getting whatever they can or only
getting
the best money can buy, whatever the design.
