You know? The 'psyker' comment was pure teasing; one must be careful
even for what one APPEARS to wish. ;->=
Sorry, I answered a note while missing some points to acknowledge...
-I play 'scape with my son semi-often. He loves the marro. In fact,
last week he told me to work up points for my dwarves (I've been using
the Mantic plastic dwarves as I like the minis) for a "rescue some
hostages from the
-orcs" game. I did. My merry band entered the Orc encampment, killed
some guards, advanced in further and noticed odd activity in some swampy
spaces. Yeah, he put a Marro hive in the swamp and my dwarves had to
fight -to the death with Marro! In the end, two dwaf heroes survived,
both wounded. :)
Makes me sad I'm so far away from my grandson; let the son-in-law
support him in baseball and football(American), let my daughter allow
his vid game addiction. I'd really love to see him pushing figs around.
He's really quite bright. Your son certains sounds like a lad I could
admire while heaping insults at his devious nature. ;->=
-And if you want, I'd be happy to send you the Marro file for not-space
hulk that I wrote up. I think the only units missing are the giant with
the marro riding on it, the hero on the marro steed, the cavalry unit,
and the giant
-snake. I need to reformat the data to match the card style, but will
be happy to do so if you want them. :)
Love to see 'em! Not sure any of the mentioned ones as non-supported
make sense in a narrow ship, though I just recently picked up the
'steed'. At some point, I'd like to make a unit of them as they match,
somewhat, some of the original box set, and virtually separate rider by
throwing a bit of table-colored cloth over it.
Of course, not TOO big a unit; the whole point of playing with Heroscape
is cheap, mediocrely painted figs, and those riders aren't so cheap.

Xander,
Good point. I liked the gray, but I would be happy to make plain
black/white versions of the unit sheets as well.
They would not take long at all. Maybe I'll do that next week and will
put up a small zip as "low ink unit sheets". :)
I did consider some very light weight psycher rules, but would need to
take a MUCH closer read of the [----------] psycher rules to see what
the flavor should be and how to do it with my very simplistic mechanics.
I've never really liked the overly powerful psychers in such games. My
first pass was to give librarians simply settable abilities. at the
beginning of the turn they could set their psychic force to things like
"protection" "impact" "speed", etc. and gain a small bonus for the turn.
I'll think about the psycher ssue. :)
