Interesting that the European economic collapse could see the formation
of blocks like the FT background.

Germany could get sick of bailing out the other European countries and I
can't imagine Fracen accepting a financial obergroupenfurher from Berlin
to advise them on hwo to run their economy. Too much gallic pride in the
way.

So you could see a split of Europe along a germanic line germany,
lithuania, estonia Latvia, Austria etc and the romance countries on the
other side, led by France Italy and Spain.. other European powers would
then have to decide which block to join (or to whom they owed the most
money).

At this point the UK might look to go back to it's commonwealth
countries as sources of supply and leverage it's special relationship
with the US into a new Anglo US alliance.

Then what do all the Slavic peoples of Eastern Europe do? Suddenly faced
with a revitalised Germany, free of Euro debt and a ring of Germanic
peoples along the baltic do the Slavs join as second class citizens or
try and form their own group to counter the power of the Germanic uber
state. Now enter someone that claims to be of Romanov descent possibly
Vladimir Putin?? and they could have a regional power that incorporates
western russia, Ukraine Belroussia and Poland.

China could then gobble up Eastern Russia and Siberia as it's northern
resource area and incorporate it into it's greater east asia propserity
sphere.
