Make 'em heavy fighters? Not for their ability to necessarily "absorb
hits",
but their ability to survive and outperform everything else around them.

Given the number of Cylon raiders vs the number of Vipers we've seen in
repeated engagements (both series'), I'd really be sorely tempted to
list
Vipers as heavy interceptors. If only to reflect their survivability
against
the odds. How did the quote from the Old Series go?
