NEW-STYLE NSL STARSHIP PAINTING CONTEST!
OK, apology time: we promised the full details on the NSL painting
contest some weeks ago, but for various reasons this hasn't happened.
Accordingly, we're still running the contest but have decided to
extend the closing date to the 31st JULY 2007, giving you an extra
month to get your entries finished and it to us.
What we are after is pics of your painted ship(s) from the new-style
NSL fleet. The pictures can be anything from a single ship to a full
fleet, in any colour scheme you like. They can be posed on a neutral
colour background, or photoshopped onto a starfield, or whatever you
want to do; we will be taking the overall effectiveness of the photo
into consideration in judging though, so best not to pose it on a
messy workbench!
After the closing date, we'll decide on a single winning picture and
the winner will get a prize consisting of at least 50 GBP worth of FT
ship minis of our choice!
Entries should consist of photos of one or more of the New-Style NSL
starships, in any painting scheme of your choice. Anything from a
single ship to a full fleet is allowed; you may submit as many
entries (and as many pictures of the same miniature(s) from different
angles) as you wish. Other GZG starship miniatures may be included
in the photo, as long as the NSL ship(s) are the main focus of the
picture.
The winner will be chosen by Jon Tuffley and Paul Owen, after the
closing date for entries; the winner will be notified by email, and
details published on the GZG website and on TMP and various other
lists/forums.
The judges' decision will be mainly based on the quality of the
painting work, but the overall effect of the finished photo will also
be taken into account; the judges' decision will be final and no
correspondence will be entered into about it.
Adding background and special effects (running lights, engine flare,
weapons fire etc.) in Photoshop or similar will be allowed, but
digital enhancement of the actual paintjob of the miniature is
discouraged.
By entering, you agree to permit GZG and its agents to make
reasonable use of the submitted image(s) in any form that they see
fit, for commercial, promotional or any other purpose, with or
without a printed name credit (though we will always endeavour to
credit work where practical).
All entries must be submitted by email, to this address:
<<mailto:contest@groundzerogames.co.uk>contest@groundzerogames.co.uk>
Please ensure that an email containing your full name, postal address
and email address accompanies each submission.
Most common image file formats are acceptable, if in any doubt please
check with us before submitting.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures!
