I don't really understand the scenario you propose. No fleet book combat
ships are thrust 8.
In general most navies battlecruiser has the same thrust as their
cruiser
(and similar hull) and similar weapons fit to a battleship. So in theory
they can beat up cruisers and get away from most battleships because the
battleships have lower thrust.
