Apparently someone on the list _is_ infected. In the last digest post
there was a message from a "john1x" with an attachment that was
scrubbed. Since there was no text with the message, it looked
suspicious.

Here's what it looked like (with the URL to the attachment munged so
that you can't accidentally click on it and infect yourself if it was
a virus) for those not on the digest who might never have seen the
message due to their virus filter catching it:
