Funnily enough.... GW made some excellent 1/300 mobile Planetary Defence

"commando" unit in SG, trying to supress enemy defences so that the main

FT forces don't take too many casualties on the way in.

Think "Guns of Navarone". Or "Pegasus Bridge" at D-Day.
