"Possible New Minor Power" - major upgrade (LONG)

On 30 Mar 2003, "staremu" posted his concept for a developement of the
Catholic Church in the future [posting #625 - GZG List Archives -- March
2003].	I found his idea interesting, but I wanted him to go further.  I
see "Nova Roma" as a potential major power not restricted to a single
world in FSE space.  The Chruch could colonize the undesputed, unsettled
space that is encircled by the FSE, NSL, NAC, Mongols, & Bavarians.  

All that Nova Roma needs now is it's own unique space fleet.  The fleet
would be made up of  licenced copies of current FSE warships,
supplemented by purchased decommissioned Milans, Romas, Garibaldis &
Chiracs.  

What would make the Papal High Guard interesting would be ship
nomenclature, and is based on the classifications of angels...	

SERAPHIM class fighters are licenced copies of the Mirage IX fighter.  

CHERUBIM class are licenced copies of the Camerone heavy fighter.  

Licenced copies of the Mistral class scoutship have enumerated
nomenclature.  

Licenced copies of the Athena class corvette are named for Saints,
Popes, & illustrious fathers of the Church.  

THRONE class frigates & DOMINION class destroyers are named for
important dioceses, cathedrals, cities, nations, continents, & worlds
controled by the Church.
