I would think a system of doubling "capacity" with each size class
would fit best with a system of doubling the space and capability
of each class of armour and weapons as well.
When Oerjan says that the armour of a typical modern MBT is
something like 8:2:1 front:side:rear my brain reads it as
2^3:2^1:2^0 or 2^(size):2^(size-2):2^(size-3)...
