I did come through B-tech, into the light of the True
Game.  IIRC, technically Dropships could either insert
from orbit OR land and debark dirtside, depending on
the situation - drop insertion for Hot LZ's, OR
landing far from enemy units and debarking in peace.

Battletech didn't really have much that was equivalent
to a smaller lander, unless it was the Leopard class Dropship.
