Exactly: there is (at present) no evidence in North America that
indicates
a Chinese presence at an early date, unlike the Norse. If a site like 
L'anse aux Meadows is found for the Chinese, then it will be more than
just an interesting idea.

Search Google for "Maine Penny"; that's the kind of evidence that's
needed.
