If you were willing to reduce the 'turban' to a symbolic length of cloth
wrapped around the helmet a few times it should work OK. Or rework it as
a
Palestinian-style headscarf arrangement, fastened just inside the rim of
the helmet.

Some of the medieval Middle Eastern & Indian helmets I've seen pics of
did
these things, when wrapping the iron/steel helm in a full turban wasn't
practical.

It would also make converting 15/25mm figures a bit easier - just use
lead
foil or something to add some strips around the helmet. It would even
work
on PA helmets!
