Or change HM drives so they have to pay 1 point of thrust per 1 or 2
facing
changes.  Or better, change the movement so that you have to turn, then
thrust, rather than the reverse  (if you spend the whole turn thrusting
in
direction 12, why should you be able to turn at the last instant and
fire
your F arc weapons in direction 6 just as if you'd faced 6 all turn?). 
Then the KV ability to thrust in any direction starts looking much
better.
