My UN troops are better, I'll post those later toni^h^h^h tomorrow.
(To put it more precisely--I'm posting pictures of the 10 minis I have
that look good, and we'll not bring up the subject of the *other*
200-300 wretched bits of lead I have.  And the UN team was partly
painted by Stuart, which is why I can truthfully say they look good).
 I painted the base and the washer, then put down a slightly watery
mix of white glue, then set the figures in model railroad ballast.
That gives it texture without making it look lumpy, the way the IF
unfortunately do.  That wasn't quite enough to make it look finished,
though, so I glued on some lichen "bushes" and drybrushed them.
