The last bit after the "OR" is wrong. A fighter group which is more than
6
mu away from an ordnance marker may not attack that ordnance marker even
if
the ordnance marker is attacking a ship the fighter group is screening.
As the rules are currently written, screening status has NOTHING to do
with
intercepting ordnance.
