Irregular make both. Their knights will be on multiple bases, tho'.

Heroics and Ros also make medievals (War of the Roses, Crusades), which
are cast individually but on strips, if you see what I mean. IIRC
they've recently been bought by Navwar.

detailed than Irregular's.

My favourite 25mm medievals are the ones by Essex Miniatures. I
accumulated a fair number some years ago when my club ran a medieval
campaign. They have the advantage of open hands and separate weapons, so
converting them to carry Gauss guns (or whatever) would be easy.

There's always the option of old-style Epic Land Raiders, which are
about as SF-WWI as you could get !
