Well, if your regular weapons are gauss rifles, or slug-throwing assault
rifles, you'd have to use something else to designate ;)

I don't see a big problem with laser rifles used to designate, but they
wuld still have to be purpose built for the jib, as they would have to
modulate their beam for the missile's sensor head to pick it up. (Or do
you REALLY want the missile to go after any random laserdot ;) )

So I'd still suggest yu have a dedicated figure, even if your entire
unit
uses laser rifles.
