of the 'Starships' page

That's a relief !

They've been very popular at shows - we usually sell out of the (small)
stock that we take with us. Sales are generally accompanied by the line
'So when are you going to make some more ?'.

It is now 'in production' - I just haven't taken a photo of the metal
version yet (they don't stay in stock long enough to take pictures of
...)

I've got three of them for my pirate fleet. They are excellent
minis.Painted
and everything, but not photographed and scanned. I'm still waiting for
Schoon's hinted-at cruiser design for the pirate leader.

Here's my design for the "Drifter" Heavy Destroyers of the Actuarial
Nightmares:

Classification: Heavy Destroyer
Displacement: 4000 Tonnes [Mass Factor 40]
Hull Type: Weak/Fragile [Hull integrity 6]
Crew: 12 "Officers", 28 Hands [Crew Factor
2]
 Armament: 2 x Class 1 Beam, 2 x Class 2 Beam
(F/FP/AP,
F/FS/AS), 1xHeavy Needle Beam (F)
Defenses: Grade 3 Armor, 2 Point Defense Systems
Sensor suite: Standard sensors, 3 Fire-control systems
Drive systems: Main Drive rating 6, FTL (Jump) Drive
 Damage track:
		 ???
		 00
		 *0
		 0
		 *
Names: Cold Sleep, Secret Ingredient, No Sound At All

Procurement cost: 1380 MUcr (Stolen parts were free, fabricated parts
were
double cost, so it all evens out)

Class also referred to as "Icicle". Drifters are fast but fragile. Their
primary mission is to strafe targets (mainly cargo and passenger
vessels),
taking out engines, and/or fire controls with Needle attacks, then
assist
with lookout / defense / baording actions when the targets are rendered
helpless. Their primary weapon is the Heavy Needle Beam, a piece of
pirate
technology that struck new fear in the hearts of interstellar
transprtation
muguls when the first reports of its use filtered back from raid
survivors.

Heavy Needle Beam: Mass 5, Cost 15, one arc only. With one dedicated
firecon/target, HNB's act as two
normal Needle beams, targeting the same system on the same ship. If
two
sixes are rolled vs Main drive, the
main drive is totally destroyed Two sixes vs. other systems destroy
the
target and then reroll once as per
normal beams (skipping armor). With two dedicated firecons/target,
HNBs
can fire as a single normal needle
