In the story I mentioned - and admittedly this is very heavy PSB - they
have suits that looked like power armour that protected them and
environments that were shielded. Thus any hit which damaged the suits
power supply caused the wearer to become an instant puddle on the
floor.	

Its a very good story if you can get hold of it. Not sure if would make
for a very interesting (say) SG2 scenario though.
