I presume that you're having trouble with MDC/4-5 at close range
(nothing
else averages high enough) against class 7 armour?.
>From personal experience, I found that anything with armour more than 4
dies
more often to *boom* chits than to valid chit totals.

The only good advice I have is to deploy a forward screen to take out
your
opponent's heavier vehicles before they get to close range.  Failing
that,
always move from cover to cover to get the extra defensive die.
