If I have to participate personally, and if you really mean
"similar opponent", I'd pick the most inept klutzes I could
find, and then try to negotiate with my opposite number--who,
recognizing the quality of his team, would be inclined to
negotiate.

But you probably don't mean "similar opponent", do you?
