While I didn't play in the Moonbase XI scenario, I was sitting at a
nearby
table during the game and watched the scenario develop. It looked like
a great
scenario to play. I have to admit, though, the pictures on the GZG-ECC
site
don't do it justice. It really looked a lot better than those pics
would
indicate. It might just be the lighting, as I remember a great deal
more
contrast between the terrain and the vehicles. At any rate, it was a
great
looking scenario, and from the next table over, it looked like the
participants
were having a great time.
I also played in the Assault on Carter Island scenario. It was a
fun
scenario to set-up. As one of the defenders, it was really a challenge
to
attempt to create a channel on the beach for the attacking troops. It
was also
a pleasure to knock out the suspension of the armored units over the
water. The
only problem with this scenario was that it just took too long. I had
to leave
"early," i.e. about an hour after the game was supposed to end. At that
point,
the attackers were just coming through the surf.
