Re Fratricide:
I think if you'll look up the origins of Fratricide, it is brother
killing brother or something in that vein. Friendly fire falls well
within that definition. I think the suggested mechanic is interesting
and productive. Once could or should also consider a similar mechanic
for SG2.
Re B5:
That episode description sounds like a Crusade episode I saw. The one
with the Technomage and his Dragon.
Re Jon, sanitary facilities, and Lancaster:
If you bring the foul stench of the unclean (ie the Gencon-ites) with
you to Lancaster, I shall have to order the ortillery to cleanse your
position with extreme prejudice. I kind of enjoy the fact that
for-the-greater-part GZG gamers I have met in Lancaster (GZG ECC I) and
subsequently through the list have been mannerly, reasonably hygienic,
and quite a lot of fun to meet and play with. Last time I was at Gencon
(87), I found there were some folk like this (the RPGA group I played
with in an open event) and a segement of the gaming population with the
capital L of the Order Of 3-D Losers branded upon them. Common courtesy
demands politeness, cleanliness, and at least basic civility when in a
group of strangers. And the retention of the knowledge it is just a game
and therefore not worth Fratricide... (ho ho, way to tie the threads
together). (Note: I'm not really worried about Jon - I find Jon to be a
very pleasant fellow with lots of interesting things to say and I look
forward to seeing him in Lancaster again!). :)
