...and the Hurris in question had all been heavily used in combat, were
time-expired airframes good for 1-2 flights before scrapping in any
event. With clapped-out engines, few could do more than 75% of their
maximum rated speed anyway. All that was "expended" was a tonne or so of
high-value scrap metal (and all too often, the pilot...).
