No animosity for duct tape - someone just suggested it was found to 
be the most inferior of duct sealing methods. I've used duct/gun tape 
to tape together my mountain bike, my car, webgear, attach stuff to 
other stuff, etc. ad infinitum also. Wonderful and useful. But the 
point was raised that it might just be the worst commercial duct 
sealer. And that I wouldn't doubt - as ducts will get hot and cold 
and that can take its toll on most adhesives.
