If I'm not mistaken, the Stugs, Hetzers, Marders, Jagdtigers, etc.
were pretty heavily armoured in front. In How about giving them 2
levels of better armour in the front (rather than just one like the
SG2 vehicle rules suggest)? This would be a further defensive
advantage.
Remember though that assault gun tactics will be somewhat ineffective
in SG2 due to board sizes - shoot and scoot won't work that well on a
reasonable sized board. In DS2, this should be a very valid tactic
though.
