At the moment, I can't think of any. Most Maori groups are pushing the
slogan/theme "Honour the Treaty"! It's the government that want to
withdraw
from the Treaty of Waitangi, by offering a full and final settlement.
Much
like the government of several decades ago did.
It's quite fascinating how people, in general, behave the same way,
even
though decades or centuries have passed. You would have thought they
would
have looked at history and watched out for these kind of things; like
this.
Recently, one Maori group found itself out of pocket, when they found
out
that one of their members had sold their entire fishing rights to a
private
company with out letting any one else know for the equivalent of
peanuts. It
sounds like an episode from the 18th or 19th century!
Individual greed overcomes group loyalty?
