The Weyland Yutani Company would like to apoligize for the
inappropriate release of information this morning. The individual
responsible for the information release has been uh..	relieved
of his duties with the Company and is no longer uh.. employed
in the Corporate Research Center of Weyland Yutani.

After an extensive investigation by the Company at the Isolation
Base Zebra, we have concluded that a malfunctioning piece of
laboratory equipment was emitting erratic gamma radiation bursts.
Our studies have shown that the equipment was responsible for
the deaths of all base staff.

The follow up mission by the Colonial Marines was also placed
in grave danger by the gamma radiation and, according to the
Company representatives on site at the base, a followup radiation
burst was responsible for the deaths of the team of Colonial
Marine specialists. The Company representatives were a
sufficient distance from the site when a second emission was
observed and are the only survivors from the incident.	They are
at present in isolation for further observation and are unavailable
for any press interviews.

In no way, were the xenomorphs under observation at the
planet system responsible for any of the incidents relating to
the Isolation Base Zebra.

The Weyland Yutani Company regrets the grievious loss of life
of their staff and marine troopers and has filed an appropriate
lawsuit with Ariens Simons, the equipment manufactor, to recover
compensatory and punitive damages, for the benefit of the next
of kin.

J. E. Davis
The Weyland Yutani Company
