    To toss in my 2 cents worth.  I have played mostly
by email with a couple of face to face games.  The thing
about email games is that there is plenty of time to
plan moves.  For the Empress Arianna Tournaments I ploted
positions on graph paper and then plotted possible locations
of the opponent next turn.  In a face to face game there is
not time to use my graph paper, dividers, and 30/60/90 triangle:-)
With some experience you can get a good idea of where the ships
will end up, though the opponent can suprise you at time.
