Tolerance??

Subject: Tolerance??
Firstly this is NOT a flame, just my 2 cents worth!
Occasionally someone attempts to contribute to the list by sending an
attachment. Unfortunately sometimes only a proportion of the list
membership can read it due to their mail programme or their mail server
not supporting such-and-such resulting in quite a few blunt rebuttals.
However when a thread starts to wander (the latest example being the FTL
discussions) and only a proportion of the list are interested there is
generally only a small complaint. Today so far I received 32 messages
from the list, 29 FTL discussions, 2 complaints about the DS attachment
and one complaint about the FTL thread!?
Personally the attachments don't bother me, neither does the FTL thread
(yet), but can't we be a little more tolerant??
