Loki,

A couple of my friends have been wondering the same thing. We tend to
put
crew sizes down the the type of role a ship is designed for. eg much
of
my fleet is Yamato inspired ala Star Blazers and therefore one would
think
[if I can remember the cartoons] that there are about ten people driving
the capital sizes, shooting things etc with everyone else off flying
around
in fighters.

I've got a model of some mega-yamato [about 10" long!] capital ship [the
Yamato 2520] which I still haven't built, and it comes with this funky
poster wich has cool cartoon shots etc and a cut-away of the ships
systems
etc and you can actually see people driving the thing!

That's my five cents worth on the matter
