Several folks have emailed me asking how to get started in mold making
and
casting their own minis. Here's a couple of sources I highly recommend
for
molding supplies that work well with miniatures:

Synair
2003 Amnicola Highway
P.O. Box 5269
Chattanooga, TN 37406

Phone: (423)698-8801

Easy to use/mix. Most chemicals are a 50/50 mix. In addition to
molding
compounds, they carry different types of resin and resin
extenders/lighteners. Limited printed material for help. A typcial kit
will only come with the material safety data sheets. However, they do
carry
videos on the subject and have good phone tech support.

Excellent help for making molds. Their catalog alone has enough step by
step examples and tips to get you started. Chemicals mix at odd ratios
so
it might take more than eyeball measuring for a good mix. Castolite
carries
a good variety of casting mediums such as resin, plastic, alloys, etc.
