OK, first off there are different resins used for the 25mm models in the
UK
and the US; over here in the UK we cast in Polyester resin, which the
licence-made GeoHex versions are in a Polyurethane. The versions that
Eureka do for the Australian market are Polyester, I think, like ours.
Most of the comments here refer to the polyster versions, but SHOULD
work
with polyurethane as well (but no promises).

1) Cleaning: wash all the resin bits well in detergent, soap powder etc.
-
we have also found that washing in a solution of good old-fashioned
Sugar
Soap (the stuff you use for stripping wallpaper - don't know what it is
called in the US) is very effective, and leaves the resin with a matt
finish that takes paint much better.

2) Glueing: Epoxy adhesive is probably best, but superglue
(cyanoacrylate)
works well too. For joining large parts (hull halves etc) you can even
use
a clear impact adhesive (UHU, Bostik etc.).

3) Painting: spray the whole thing with an automotive primer first
(cheap
and simple to get), then paint on this with anything you like (enamels
or
acrylics). Almost NOTHING will stick to the bare, unprimed resin,
especially if you haven't cleaned it thoroughly.

Happy modelling!!
