Yeah, on the excel spreasheet I use, Its ((Mass*mass)*thrust)/20. I also
mass out the drives at ((mass*mass)/500)* spd. for base hull cost i use
(mass*mass)/20
this is what i get for a speed 5 ship with 10% of mass given to FTL
drives:

This system give a very practical limit of a ship: in this case Mass 40.
and building a mass 100 ship is impossible, the drive systems would
weigh
more than the ship itself!
