Local Air Defense may only engage aerospace units attacking the LAD
equipped
unit. When used in this manner, the LAD rolls a d6 shifted up one for
each
additional launcher in the unit.

As a house rule, we allow LAD equipped units to engage aerospace
fighters
which fly within 12" as a normal opportunity fire attack. Units which
are
the actual target of an aerospace attack do not have to use opportunity
fire
(thus using their activation for the turn) in order to use LAD.
