at mechanisims attracted and retain your enjoyment in Stargrunt?"
If I might answer this for myself, I haven't really played much
Stargrunt un a long while, but then again I haven't played a lot of any
miniatures game in a while. What did attract me to and keeps me
interested in the game, even if not playing is theh ard sci-fi angle
that Stargrunt's canon universe attempts to hold. Even when portraying
grav and particle weapons, they do it with a style that seems useform
and plausable as opposed to flashy rayguns and flying tanks. Also, the
community is very friendly and knowledgible. This very thread has stayed
much more civil than it would on other lists.
I think the idea of a single game holding somebody's interest is
something that is foreign to a lot (dare I say most) gamers. For me, GZG
games were/are one of many games that I play. I do not play them to the
exclusion of others and I drift in an out of games as my mood/interest
suits me. I have my tastes and they do not mesh with everyone I play
with. I have a heck of a time finding players for some of the games I
play, that is true, but I find them.
